Feeling bad lately? Exhausted, anxious, confused more than usual?  For the past couple of months, Earth has been bombarded with both large solar flares and a powerful change in the intensity of the planet’s ‘heartbeat,’ called the Schumann Resonance.

We are getting blasted with energy from both directions.

The Schumann Resonance is a powerful force that can influence our well-being in subtle yet profound ways. But what exactly is the Schumann Resonance power, and why does it fluctuate?

Scientifically, the Schumann Resonance consists of electromagnetic frequencies that arise from the interaction between lightning strikes and the Earth’s ionosphere. While the primary frequency of 7.83 Hz remains constant, the power of these frequencies can fluctuate due to various factors like solar activity, lightning storms, and even seasonal changes.

These fluctuations do have tangible effects on our health.

From a Western scientific perspective, changes in the Resonance power may disrupt sleep patterns and influence mood, particularly in those sensitive to electromagnetic fields. On the other hand, the metaphysical community views these fluctuations as a reflection of broader energetic shifts that can either challenge or enhance our spiritual growth. The bursts of energy are seen as either new incoming energy to be integrated, or an opportunity to release old energy.

For those who are energetically sensitive, these power fluctuations might be felt as “ascension symptoms”—a range of experiences including heightened intuition, emotional purging, and even physical discomfort. Whether viewed through a scientific or spiritual lens, the Schumann Resonance power is worth understanding, as it connects us deeply to the rhythms of the planet.

But there’s help!

Here are a number of helpful ways to stay balanced during times of high power. Experiment with them to find the most appropriate solution for yourself.

  • Grounding – use Grounding Mats or perform ‘Earthing,’ where you stand barefoot on natural grass, soil, or sand to help discharge excess energy. Do grounding types of meditation, visualizing roots growing from your feet into the Earth. Carry or wear stones that help are obsidian, hematite, black tourmaline to stabilize your energy. Take a bath with Epsom salts and grounding essential oils like sage or rosemary.
  • Reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields by turning off as many devices as possible.
  • Stay hydrated, eat a good, balanced diet, and maintain a regular sleep schedule.
  • Balance your energy fields – try Reiki, Qigong, Tai Chi, or chakra balancing to harmonize your energy field.
  • Do regular energy clearing.
  • Wear or carry calming stones like Amethyst and Lepidolite.
  • Visualize a protective shield around you to buffer against the increased effects of the energy.
  • If all else fails, sleep through those days that are the worst!
